Exhaust Tunage

BMW will offer an exhaust system by 2009 that will allow drivers to dial-in the exhaust tone of their choice for their vehicle.
There is already a prototype with the tuned-exhaust system installed in an Audi A4 2.0L Turbo. It can produce up to five different tones.
The system also includes an active silencing system that cancels out the exhaust noise by using a microphone and speaker that is built into the exhaust system.
The tuned system can make a 4-cyl. car sound like a V-8 model or vice versa. Now you can make your car sound like you have a big engine in it and still get gas mileage.
